Welcome to Toni Sturrs Knit Design, I'm Toni and I design and make one-off and bespoke knitted items, including clothing, accessories for interiors and even knitting patterns. 



I have recently graduated with a degree in Textile Crafts BA(Hons) from the University of Huddersfield. The course has been very challenging, but has also pushed me to really question myself and to find my identity as a practitioner.



Most of my inspirations can be found in nature. My colour palettes are selected from photographs I have taken of natural scenery, and I use only natural fibers when knitting as I love the high quality feel in comparison with synthetics. 



I love to knit, and I love to see my own designs really come to life through the medium. I also have a passion for helping others, and in my Major Project I have set up The Knit to Live Project, a campaign which aims to improve quality of life for those living with mental illness such as depression and anxiety.

This is a cause that has great significance for me, so it is something I can feel truly inspired and passionate about.
